Ice Cream
A short boat ride beyond the shallow lagoon on Saipan’s western shore lays one of
Micronesia’s best-kept secrets. A submerged pinnacle taking the shape of an ice cream
cone plays home to a wide variety of life including regular visits from schools of spotted
eagle rays. With a maximum depth of 60 feet expect to spend plenty of time at this cleaning
station as these magnificent creatures perform their liquid ballet among a host of colorful
fish and corals. Not to be outdone, a number of curious moray eels fight for your attention
as they dart across the reef in broad daylight. To say eels and eagle rays abound here
would be an understatement!
